Volunteer Opportunities

Cats Angels is always happy to have new volunteers join our organization. We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are willing to come to our center and help take care of our cats. There are two shifts each day(morning and evening)where we need help cleaning cages, giving medications to sick cats, and most importantly giving our cats love and attention! If you are interested, please fill out an application, or call the center, and leave a message for Nancy at 321-2267. Sponsorship Program

Cats Angels Inc., SPCA, has created a sponsorship program that allows members of the community to assist Cats Angels with the cost of caring for cats and kittens until they find their new homes.

Gold Mouse Level: $110
This level of sponsorship will cover the cost of FIV/Feline Leukemia testing, spay/neuter, FVRCP vaccine and rabies vaccine.

Helping Paw Level: $50
This level of sponsorship will cover the cost of FIV/Feline Leukemia testing, FVRCP vaccine and rabies vaccine.

Whisker Licking Good Level: $25
This level of sponsorship will help cover costs of feeding one cat until they are adopted. All you need to do is choose one of the Cats Angels kitties shown on Petfinder.com or AdoptAPet.com that you would like to sponsor… or we can choose a kitty for you. Give us your email address and we will send you a “Thank You’ and a picture from your Kitty.

If you don’t want to sign up for the Sponsorship Program, but still want to make a contribution of any amount, just know that it all goes to the care of the cats and kittens in our program.

Become a Member

• Active Member: Pays a yearly membership fee of $25 ($10 for Senior Citizens) and is entitled to attend the Cats Angels meetings.
  
  
• Donor: Contributes to support CATS ANGELS mission with a donation of:
  $10, $25, $50, or $100

Member Activities: Please let us know if you would be willing to participate in the following activities:

• Trapping stray colony cats
• Assist in feeding colony cats
• Transporting cats to vet
• Caring for cats for a few days after surgery
• Foster care
• Organizing mailings, letter writings, press releases
• Fundraising/marketing
• Pick up/deliver donated food

These items are greatly appreciated and can be brought to the Cats Angels Thrift Store/Adoption Center, 709 S. 8th Street, Fernandina Beach, FL during business hours Monday thru Saturday from 11 AM to 5 PM.

Every Cat Wants a Katarunda Bed!
The Kuranda cat bed increases floor space for the cat in a cage and gives kitty the opportunity to jump up and view their surroundings from a private spot. The space underneath the bed creates a cozy nook for a shy cat to feel secure.
