All of our cats are special.
Some are more special because they have special needs.
Is your heart big enough to adopt or help support one of these cats?

THE SPECIAL CATS OF CATS ANGELS

Kermit the Frog sang that ‘It’s Not Easy Being Green’ and for some of the Cats Angels kitties, it’s not easy being Special Needs.

Buddy and Annabelle are two of the sweetest cats you will ever meet. They have tested positive for Feline AIDS and must be kept separate from other cats. Feline AIDS is NOT transmissable to humans and is only transmitted between cats by fighting. Cats with Feline AIDS can live long and healthy lives and they only require regular vet checkups and safe indoor living.

Stuart has a couple health issues. He was born without complete eyelids. Dr. Jen Towles of Amelia Island Animal Hospital has been kind enough to help him with this. He also has a slight heart murmur that may need medication as he gets older, but other than that he is one cool cat.

Zak-Dinks is panther-like with his sleek black coat, but to us he’s our resident pirate with one eye.

Betty is considered a special-needs cat because she has been declawed and must always be kept inside.

Boo Bob, Barbara Jean, Farrah and Tommy (right) have all been exposed to FIP and must be adopted as the only cat in a household, or by a family with other FIP cats.

Whitney is deaf, but a happy and playful kitty.

All of the kitties at Cats Angels are special to us — these are just some that are extra special and looking for their forever homes. Maybe you’re looking for that extra special someone, too.

All of our special-needs cats are listed on the PetFinder website and are denoted by a heart, or by a paw print for declawed cats.

As a rescue group, Cats Angels makes every effort to see to the medical needs of all of the cats in our care. Some require specialized veterinary care. This year we have taken in cats and kittens with special eye issues and digestive problems. It is through your donations that these cats and kittens receive the best possible treatment.
